architecture inspired by Shibori dye patterns

Analysis of the Coppin State University’s campus revealed a need for a new Coppin Academy high school building. The current location abuts the greek life courtyard and the building is one of the oldest on campus. I took inspiration for the building from indigo shibori dye patterns. The organic dye patterns introduced different elements in the design and lead to the building’s unusual shape.
